COMMUNITY RECYCLING
ENTERPRISE
OPEN MONDAY, WEDNESDAY,
THURSDAY & SATURDAY
10.00-2.00
Our aim is to provide an alternative to taking goods out of our community, or even worse, throwing them out. We recycle & redistribute preloved clothing, books, some furniture and lots of bits and pieces. All proceeds from the op-shop go towards the other programs The Centre is able to offer. This service can only operate with the support of our volunteers and with the generous donation of goods.
Donations
We welcome donations (we rely on it!).
Due to COVID we require you to make an appointment to drop donations off. We have limited space for isolating goods and need to ensure we have the space before you arrive.
Electrical items
All electrical items that are sold through the centre are second hand and not tagged and tested and come with a warning DANGER – DO NOT USE OR CONNECT TO SUPPLY – THIS SECOND-HAND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT MAY BE FAULTY AND SHOULD BE INSPECTED AND TESTED BY A COMPETENT PERSON IN ACCORDANCE WITH AS/NZS 3760
Volunteers
We could not operate without our volunteers! If you can spare some time to help out, we would love to hear from you. It is fun and rewarding, and you never know what you may find!!
We often list special items on our dedicated Facebook page. You can like us at Op Shop Venus Bay
